In brief

By using TechView Africa, you agree to use the service lawfully and to treat its content as general information rather than personalised professional advice.

Acceptance and about TechView Africa

Accessing or using TechView Africa means you agree to these Terms of Use and the linked Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Editorial Policy, Corrections Policy, Review Methodology, Affiliate Disclosure and Advertising Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.

TechView Africa is a technology publication and consumer-help platform for Nigeria, Africa and international English-speaking readers. We publish technology news, how-to guides, phone and device coverage, AI and software information, security and scam-awareness content, digital-money explainers, reviews and buying guides.

Informational purpose and accuracy

Our content is provided for general information and education. It is not automatically personal legal, financial, medical or cybersecurity advice; a professional cybersecurity service; a guarantee of product safety; a guarantee that a seller or website is legitimate; or a promise that a troubleshooting method will work on every device.

Technology, prices, software features, regulations, network support and availability change. We aim for accuracy but cannot promise that every page is complete or current. The publication date says when a piece first appeared; the last-updated date describes a material edit; a last-tested date refers to a product or software test; and a last-verified date refers to a fact or source check.

Independently verify important decisions and consult a qualified professional or official provider where the stakes are significant.

User responsibilities

You must use the website lawfully and must not interfere with its operation or other readers’ access.

  • Unauthorised access, security bypasses, malware distribution or automated abuse.
  • Scraping or systematic extraction that damages the service, ignores reasonable access controls or misuses personal data.
  • Impersonation, fraud, harassment, unlawful, defamatory or discriminatory submissions.
  • Copyright infringement, manipulation of advertisements or attempts to create artificial traffic.
  • Submitting passwords, OTPs, PINs, banking details or other confidential information through public forms.

Intellectual property and sharing

Articles, graphics, logos, reviews, databases, original photographs, videos, site design and brand assets belong to TechView Africa or their respective licensors. You may share reasonable personal or non-commercial excerpts with attribution and a working link, subject to applicable law. Republication, commercial reproduction, systematic extraction or use for AI training without permission is not allowed where permission is required.

User submissions

If comments, tips, guest posts, correction requests or messages are accepted, you confirm that you have the right to submit the material, that it is not unlawful or defamatory, and that you are not disclosing another person’s information without authority. TechView Africa may moderate, reject or remove submissions. You grant only the permission reasonably needed to review, edit and publish material that we accept; you do not transfer ownership of everything you submit.

Availability, security and liability

We work to keep the site available and secure, but uninterrupted, error-free or virus-free access cannot be guaranteed. Nothing in these Terms excludes fraud, wilful misconduct, mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, TechView Africa is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on general information, third-party services or a user’s failure to independently verify a high-stakes decision.

Suspension, changes and governing law

We may restrict access where necessary to address abuse, security risks or legal obligations. We will date material changes and, where practical, explain them on the affected page or through a relevant channel. These Terms are governed by Nigerian law, subject to mandatory rights available to users in other jurisdictions. We will not name a specific court location until the legal entity and address are confirmed.

Questions and version

Questions can be sent through the TechView Africa contact page. Please do not include passwords, OTPs, PINs, banking credentials, identity documents or confidential business material in an ordinary form.
