Apple Has Turned Its ₦1,300 iCloud+ Plan Into a TV, Gaming and Storage Bundle in Nigeria

Nigerian iCloud+ subscribers will receive Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no extra charge during September. Apple’s entry plan costs ₦1,300 a month for 50GB, and neither service will remain a standalone subscription in Nigeria.

Apple TV is officially coming to Nigeria for the first time, but not through the familiar standalone streaming subscription. From September, Nigerian iCloud+ subscribers will receive Apple TV and Apple Arcade as part of their existing subscription at no additional charge. Apple’s Nigerian announcement confirms that pricing starts at ₦1,300 a month for 50GB, so the cheapest paid iCloud tier now combines cloud storage, Apple’s streaming service and more than 200 Arcade games.

More importantly, Apple says Apple TV and Apple Arcade will stop being sold separately in Nigeria once the rollout is complete. That makes iCloud+ the main route into both services.

What ₦1,300 now includes

The 50GB plan still provides iCloud storage and its existing privacy features, but subscribers will also get Apple TV, Apple Arcade and Apple Music Select.

Apple Arcade offers more than 200 games without ads or in-app purchases, while Apple TV brings Apple’s original films and series to Nigerian users on supported phones, tablets, computers, smart TVs and game consoles.

Apple says one iCloud+ subscription can also be shared with up to five additional family members, although the storage allowance is shared across the group.

Apple Music is not fully included

Apple Music Select is not the full Apple Music service. It provides ad-free programmed stations rather than complete on-demand access to Apple’s music catalogue.

However, iCloud+ subscribers in Nigeria can subscribe to full Apple Music at ₦1,500 a month for the Individual plan or ₦2,500 for the Family plan when subscribing directly through Apple.

What happens to existing subscribers?

People already paying separately for Apple TV or Apple Arcade will continue to have access through iCloud+, while Apple says their individual subscriptions will be cancelled. Arcade game progress and saves will remain intact.

This is therefore more than a temporary promotion; Apple is changing how the services are packaged in Nigeria. The wider rollout covers more than 100 countries and regions through the end of September. Apple says Apple TV is expanding into 59 additional countries, taking the service to 170 countries globally.
