Current Tecno phone prices in Nigeria start at about ₦154,700 for the POP 20 and rise to roughly ₦1.79 million for the Phantom V Fold2. The Spark 50 sits around ₦199,500, while the Camon 50 family currently spans roughly ₦397,600 to ₦749,900 depending on model and storage.

A current Tecno phone in Nigeria can now cost anything from about ₦155,000 to almost ₦1.8 million, depending on whether you are buying an entry-level POP, a mainstream Spark, a camera-focused Camon or one of Tecno’s foldables. That spread matters because many Tecno price lists still circulating online are built around older Spark 20, Camon 30 and POP generations.

Tecno’s current Nigerian website is already promoting newer products including the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G, Spark 50 and POP 20, while Nigerian retailers have started listing those devices locally.

We checked current listings from established Nigerian retailers and cross-checked the important specifications against Tecno’s own product pages. These are retailer prices, not permanent manufacturer-set prices, so promotions, stock levels and memory configurations can change what you actually pay.

These figures should be treated as a price snapshot, not a national fixed-price list. Even two reputable stores can quote slightly different amounts for the same phone.

Tecno POP 20: the cheapest current model we verified

The POP 20 now provides the clearest entry point into Tecno’s current range. Pointek lists the 4GB/64GB version at about ₦154,700 and the 4GB/128GB version at around ₦163,500. That is substantially higher than the sub-₦100,000 pricing associated with older POP generations.

Tecno specifies a 6.75-inch 120Hz display, Unisoc T7250 processor, 13MP rear camera, 5,000mAh battery and 15W charging. The physical memory is 4GB; Tecno also advertises extended RAM, which should not be confused with additional physical RAM.

This is still a basic smartphone. It makes the most sense for calls, WhatsApp, banking, browsing, streaming and light social media rather than demanding games or heavy multitasking.

Tecno Spark 50: where the mainstream range now begins

The Spark 50 is currently listed at about ₦199,500 for 4GB/128GB by both Pointek and 3CHUB. Its appeal is straightforward: Tecno combines a 6.78-inch 120Hz display, 50MP rear camera and unusually large 6,700mAh battery with a MediaTek Helio G81 processor. It remains a 4G phone in the Nigerian specification.

For someone whose priority is WhatsApp, social media, video, schoolwork and long battery life rather than premium photography, this is arguably the point where the current Tecno lineup becomes substantially more comfortable.

It is also worth comparing against current Redmi pricing rather than assuming one brand is automatically cheaper. TechView Africa recently found that current Redmi models begin around the same broad budget territory but diverge significantly as specifications improve.

Camon 50: Tecno’s camera-focused range has moved above ₦400,000

The biggest change in Tecno’s current Nigerian lineup is arguably the Camon series. The standard Camon 50 8GB/128GB sits just below ₦400,000 at the retailers we checked, while 256GB listings move to roughly ₦438,600. The Camon 50 Pro is around ₦499,200, and the Camon 50 Ultra 5G reaches roughly ₦749,000–₦749,900 in its 512GB configuration.

The standard Camon 50 has a 6.78-inch 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, Helio G200 Ultimate processor, 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, 8MP ultrawide camera and 6,150mAh battery with 45W charging in Tecno’s Nigerian specifications.

The Camon 50 Pro adds a 50MP 3x telephoto camera, while the Ultra moves to a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor, 5G connectivity and 50MP front camera.

That makes the Camon line a better fit for buyers who genuinely care about photography, video, AMOLED display quality and more premium hardware. Anyone mainly using WhatsApp, banking apps and browsing would be paying heavily for capabilities they may rarely use.

Phantom foldables: Tecno can now cost as much as a premium flagship

At the other end of the price list are Tecno’s folding phones. A current Konga listing places the Phantom V Flip2 5G 8GB/256GB at ₦750,000, while another active Nigerian marketplace listing was around ₦900,000 when checked. The larger Phantom V Fold2 5G 12GB/512GB was listed by PC Planet at ₦1.79 million.

These are no longer simply “cheap alternatives to flagship phones”. At this level, buyers should compare Tecno with Samsung, Apple, Google and other premium devices on camera quality, software support, repairability, warranty and resale value—not merely headline specifications.

Foldables also introduce a separate consideration: displays and hinge systems are considerably more specialised than those in conventional smartphones. What happened to the Tecno POVA series?

The POVA range needs more caution than a conventional price list suggests. Tecno has a global POVA 7 family, including the POVA 7, POVA 7 5G and POVA 7 Ultra 5G. The standard POVA 7, for example, is specified with a 7,000mAh battery, Helio G100 Ultimate processor and 120Hz display.

However, during this check we could not verify a comparable current POVA 7 listing from the major Nigerian retailers used for the POP, Spark and Camon prices above. Some Nigerian price databases themselves describe the model as expected rather than officially available locally.

For that reason, TechView Africa is not presenting an “expected” POVA 7 price as though it were a verified current Nigerian retail price. If a seller offers you a POVA 7, confirm the exact regional model, network support, warranty and whether Tecno/Carlcare will support that unit locally before paying.

Why the same Tecno phone can have different prices

The most important difference is often hidden in the configuration. A Camon 50 with 128GB storage should not be compared directly with the 256GB version. The same applies to physical RAM: phrases such as “16GB RAM” or “24GB RAM” can include virtual or extended RAM that uses storage space, rather than that amount of physical memory.

Seller type also matters. An established electronics retailer, an official marketplace store and an independent marketplace seller can all quote different prices for the same model because stock source, warranty, promotion and delivery costs differ.

Which Tecno phone fits your budget?

For buyers around ₦155,000–₦165,000, the POP 20 is the current verified starting point. It is sufficient for everyday smartphone basics, but buyers should keep expectations modest.

At roughly ₦200,000, the Spark 50 is a more convincing general-purpose phone, particularly because of its much larger battery and 50MP camera.

Around ₦400,000–₦500,000, the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro make more sense for people who value display quality and photography enough to justify the price increase.

The Camon 50 Ultra 5G moves the series into approximately ₦750,000 territory, where buyers should compare competing premium Android devices closely.
